Project Director - Dan Blakeley
Masters in Engineering Physics & Appropriate Technologies
Dan is in the Master’s program for both Engineering Physics and Appropriate Technology. He started the solar vehicle team in the Fall of 2014 as a project for a class. The class ended but the project continued. As the Project Director, Dan deals directly with all of the project leads and plays a major role in outreach and fundraising. Upon graduation, Dan hopes to continue working on the leading edge of transportation.
Business Director - David Rudow
Masters in Physics
David "Duvey" Rudow is a graduate student in the Engineering Physics program at Appalachian State. He has two other degrees from Appalachian State, a BA in Performance and a BS in applied physics. He was one of the drivers for the 2016 FSGP & ASC and is excited to compete against the other incredible teams. Duvey hopes to be an astronaut or a rapper.
Mechanical Director - Jon Linck
Jon Linck is a senior in the Sustainable Technology Program. Using a strong background in Computer Science, he leads with a strong mechanical intellect and a fundamental understanding of electronics.
Electrical Director - Jake Barnes
Jake Barnes is a senior in the applied physics program. He is concentrating in Engineering Physics and has a minor in Mathematics. Jake aspires to become a Naval Special Warfare Officer in the SEAL teams.
